The East Side Gallery memorial in Berlin-Friedrichshain is a permanent open-air gallery on the longest remaining section of the Berlin Wall in Mühlenstraße between Berlin Ostbahnhof and Oberbaumbrücke along the Spree.

Potsdamer Platz

Until the end of the Second World War, Potsdamer Platz was one of the busiest squares in Europe and therefore received one of the first traffic light systems on the continent as early as 1924 with the traffic tower. The Potsdamer Tor was built in 1734 during the construction of the Berlin customs wall.

The Gendarmenmarkt is a square named after the Gens d'armes cuirassier regiment that was originally based here in Berlin's Mitte district of the same name. It was laid out during the expansion of the city in 1688 and rebuilt between 1976 and 1993.
